Drum & Bass Artists to Watch in 2024

As drum and bass continues to infiltrate the scene with its infectious beats and bass lines, more artists are coming up in the scene with their takes on the genre.

Drum and bass has been a staple in dance music since its creation. On top of its established influence on electronic dance music, drum and bass has slowly crept into the United States with artists arguably dropping high-BPM tracks more than ever in their sets. From Bensley to Kyrist, here are a few drum and bass artists to watch as we move into the new year.

Bensley

With energetic tracks like “Hit The Lights” and “Roll The Dice,” Bensley has created a sound that is distinct and dynamic. His low-frequency bass and prominent beats keep the people dancing. Most recently, he played Apocalypse and released his collaboration with DNMO on Deadbeats. The Canadian DJ has promised that he has plenty of drum and bass releases ready for 2024.

Ghost In Real Life

Ghost In Real Life hit the scene with haunting, bass-filled tracks in 2021. The producer and singer recently made the switch from dubstep to drum and bass, bringing her rock-influenced sound along. She has said that she, “…really found [her] sound with DnB,” and her quest to create authentic music has shined through every release. There is more to come as Ghost In Real Life continues to let the creativity flow.

Kumarion

Genre-bending artist Kumarion has been crafting his sound since he was introduced to the genre over a decade ago. Since 2020, the DJ has been steadily releasing drum and bass with elements from jungle, dubstep, and more. This year, he dropped ‘High Rollers’ with Smoakland, remixed his hit single, “Want It,” into a DnB edit, and headlined shows around the United States. Kumarion has a mission to bring drum and bass to America and one thing is for sure – the artist is on his way.

Kenya Grace

Singer-songwriter Kenya Grace has been experimenting with liquid drum and bass since she first began releasing singles in 2022. Her single “Strangers” took over TikTok when the South African producer first teased. The song has quickly become certified in several countries as it hit the top of the charts in the United Kingdom and Austria. Kenya Grace’s take on liquid drum and bass paired with her gentle vocals have already set her up for success in 2024 and beyond.

Kyrist

Based in Cardiff, Kyrist has been heating the drum and bass scene up with her dark, gritty tone. She has been dropping music for a decade and founded her record label, Kynetic Sound, in 2022. The DJ hosts ‘Kyrist Presents: Kynetic Sound’ on SWU.FM, bringing guests on to showcase their talents and expand the reach of drum and bass. Kyrist is a force to be reckoned with as she brings the energy and the bass.
