Slander Show Ends Early After Pyro Set Off Venue Sprinklers

A recent Slander show was forced to END early after a mishap with pyrotechnics.

Leaving fans and performers soaking wet, the Slander show ended earlier than anticipated at the Coca-Cola Roxy in Atlanta on the Chimera Tour. The use of pyrotechnics during one of the performances from the musical duo caused the sprinkler system to trigger, ending the concert only fifty minutes in.

When the musical duo announced the Chimera Tour in July, they promised fans new audio and visual experiences, new production, and a stacked lineup. In what had been a smooth and successful tour, Slander was shocked when water rained down on the crowd, which ruined the night for everybody.

While the tour will end at the beginning of December, there’s no current news when Slander will be back to perform in Atlanta for fans who had their show end an hour early. One user on Reddit claimed that the Coca-Cola Roxy “told them they were only allowed to do limited amounts of pyro and they just ignored it” but the venue had not confirmed this.

After the incident, fans took to social media to vocalize the need to get a refund for the show that was cut in half. Slander later announced that they would work with the venue to provide credit to ticket purchasers. While there have not been any more details about when these credits would arrive, the group additionally expressed their love for Atlanta and how much they regretted the incident.

But the incident is not ruining the tour for Slander as they are set to perform a sold-out show at Red Rocks, which will be the fifth show of the tour to surpass over 10,000 in attendance. With just a few stops left for this tour, don’t miss your chance to see Derek and Scott by purchasing a ticket here.

Alongside the tour this year, the DJs have released two collaborations with different artists after the success of their ‘Thrive’ album last year. Their most recent track, “Never Give Up On You” featuring Synymata and Elle Vee is currently available to stream on all platforms now.
