MEDUZA Teases Project with Munich Football Team

Italian house Trio MEDUZA has posted a video hinting at an upcoming collaboration with Bayern Munich FC.

Coming off the release of their largest body of work to date last month, Grammy-nominated house group MEDUZA seem to have another big move in the works. Their Instagram account has posted a video of Matt Vitale, one third of the trio, walking on the pitch at Allianz Arena, home of the legendary Bayern Munich Football Club. Vitale says in the video that they are “shooting something that we cannot spoil at the moment” but promises that it will be “something really cool.” 

The video stirred up a frenzy of fans trying to guess what the group may be teasing. Perhaps the most popular guess in the comments was an official song for the 2024 UEFA European Football Championship, which is set to take place at Allianz Arena and other stadiums across Germany next summer. Other fans considered that it could be a song for a commercial with Adidas, the official team outfitters for Bayern Munich.

Fellow DJs hopped in the comments as well to theorize about the upcoming announcement. Los Angeles-based DJ Dark Heart joked: “You guys are finally launching your football careers???” Dutch tropical house producer Sam Feldt wrote “Something big coming” and added the eyes emoji, potentially hinting that he has some inside information about the mysterious forthcoming project.

Whatever the announcement ends up being, it will build on what’s already been a monumental year for MEDUZA on stage and in the studio. Their calendar has been packed with performances across the globe, including sets at Tomorrowland, Parookaville, EDC Mexico, and next week’s EDC Orlando. In October, they dropped their long-awaited self-titled EP which features their smash hits “Piece of Your Heart,” “Lose Control,” and “Paradise.”
