Mersiv Levels Up With New “Out of Bounds” Album

After much anticipation from bass music fans, Mersiv has finally released his sophomore LP “Out of Bounds” on MorFlo Records.

Today, the beloved DJ and producer Mersiv has shared his long-awaited sophomore album with fans. Out now on the artist’s imprint MorFlo Records, “Out of Bounds” explores sounds and genres beyond what his fans have come to expect. Unlike his wildly successful debut album, “Pretty Dark Loud,” this fresh offering blends elements of hip-hop, pop, and other genres to showcase the DJ’s vast range of talents and production capabilities.

To support this genre-defying effort, Mersiv enlists several highly regarded artists, including Wreckno on “Bounce”, INZO on “Metagalactic Bloom”, and Saint Sinner on “Dreamscape”. Each collaborative effort blends Mersiv’s signature sound with each artist’s unique musical identifiers, respectively. Other artists featured on the LP are PROBCAUSE, Jelacee, HEYZ, The Ninety’s, Darci, Ultra Instinct, and Neoma.

In addition to an arsenal of collaborations, the 14-track LP features several solo tracks that hone in on Mersiv’s distinctive blend of heavy basslines and enthralling rhythms. Most notable is the title track, which truly highlights Mersiv’s artistic development.

Another proven fan favorite from “Out of Bounds“ is “I Like It When You Move,” which was released in August in anticipation of the forthcoming album. The single quickly garnered massive support from old and new fans alike, already having surpassed 47k SoundCloud plays at the time this article was written. Today, with an entire repertoire of previously unreleased Mersiv tracks at their fingertips, fans have much more to celebrate.

This news follows another huge Milestone in Mersiv’s career—a sold-out headlining Red Rocks show back in April of this year. The DJ is currently touring the US at some of the country’s most sought-after venues. This weekend, he’ll be traveling through the PNW with shows in Portland, Seattle, and Eugene. The “Out of Bounds” tour will then make its way toward the Midwest, with stops in Montana, Michigan, Illinois, and beyond, moving up and down the East Coast before finally traveling back to Denver to close out 2023 at Decadence NYE. I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
