NGHTMRE Celebrates 33rd Birthday Ahead of Tomorrowland Brasil Performance

NGHTMRE Shares a heartfelt message to fans on instagram, looking back on a busy year of touring

American DJ and producer NGHTMRE, celebrated his 33rd birthday just as he landed in Sao Paulo for his upcoming performance at Tomorrowland Brasil. He took to Instagram to share with his fans photos of himself across an incredible year of traveling and touring.

NGHTMRE, whose real name is Tyler Marenyi, has had a busy year of touring around the world, playing at some of the biggest festivals and clubs such as EDC Mexico and Electric Zoo.

NGHTMRE attended Icon Collective Music Production School, where he met fellow producers Derek and Scott of Slander. They became friends and collaborators, releasing their debut EP, Nuclear Bonds, on Mad Decent in 2015. NGHTMRE also gained recognition when Skrillex played one of his songs, “Street”, during his set at Ultra Music Festival. He later signed to Diplo’s record label, Mad Decent, and released his self-titled EP in 2016.

NGHTMRE’s career took off after he released his EP in 2016, which charted on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. As a result, it garnered the interest of some of the biggest artists in EDM. Many of these big artists graced NGHTMRE’s debut album, ‘DRMVRSE‘, which saw commercial success. Since catapulting into the mainstream EDM scene, he’s worked with artists such as Dillon Francis, Slander, Skrillex, and others, as well as performed in iconic venues such as Coachella, EDC, and Red Rocks Ampitheatre.

At Tomorrowland Brasil 2023, NGHTMRE was slotted to close out Thursday night at the Tulip stage, sponsored by Monstercat. Sharing the stage with him, are other bass-heavy artists such as Netsky and Jessica Audiffred.

Both on his post, as well as at the festival, artists and avid fans alike flooded NGHTMRE with well-wishes on his 33rd birthday, and according to NGHTMRE, there was no better way he could imagine celebrating it than in playing an electric set at the lush and green scenery of Parque Maeda.

Edward Fang has been an avid raver since the early 2010s. While he started off with the bass-heavy genre of Dubstep (Excision was his very first EDM concert!), Ed has love for all types of EDM and believes there's an EDM subgenre for everyone. His current favorite artists include: Porter Robinson, Odesza, ISOxo, and Fred Again.., but he is always looking to discover new artists!
