Defected to Host New Year Celebrations on Six Different Continents for Label’s 25th Anniversary

World-renowned house label Defected announces ‘Six Degrees of Celebration’ New Years events around the globe.

English house music label Defected will continue its efforts to expand its brand worldwide this New Years with its most ambitious campaign yet. The label has unveiled plans for a massive series of events that will span six continents between December 31st 2023 and January 6th 2024. These ‘Six Degrees of Celebration’ will be hosted in Las Vegas, Buenos Aires, Johannesburg, Koh Samui, Sydney, and Defected’s hometown of London.

New Years Eve parties in London have become an annual tradition for Defected, previously hosting events at celebrated venues such as Printworks and the Ministry of Sound. This year’s global expansion will bring growth for the London edition as well as they take over the iconic OVO Arena in Wembley for back-to-back nights. Defected imprint Glitterbox will host the second night as the party rolls on to celebrate the new year and the label’s 25th birthday.

House heavyweights Sam Divine, Low Steppa, and Ferreck Dawn will headline the first night at OVO Arena, while Glitterbox’s second night will feature the likes of Eats Everything, Groove Armada, and John Morales. The full lineups for all the rest of the worldwide events have yet to be released, but a few select headliners have been announced. English house legend Carl Cox will spearhead the Sydney show, while Harry Romero and Juliet Mendoza will be among those on hand for back-to-back nights in Las Vegas.

Community and human connection will be the central themes of these worldwide celebrations as Defected honors its growing fanbase. “This event is not just another event,” says George Pritchard, director of events and talent. “It is a testament to the enduring spirit of electronic music and the passionate community that has grown around it.”
