G Jones Reveals Long-Awaited ‘Paths’ Album Ahead of Red Rocks Live Show

Just before his new live show debuts at Red Rocks, G Jones has released his sophomore album, ‘Paths.’

The experimental bass producer has returned to electronic music with a dynamic album full of bass in all forms. Released on Illusory Records, the eleven-track record flows through several genres. Tracks like “Familiar Frontiers,” “Perpetual Bloom,” and ”Maybe” use dreamy synths that take the listener to a calmer place.

“In My Room,” “Glowing Experiences,” and “Remnant” are atmospheric, while tracks like “Too Far Gone” and “Dancing On the Edge” lean into trap and breakbeat. “Liminality” and “Which Way” are full of bass at different tempos. G Jones ends ‘Paths’ with “Long Walk Home,” an ambient track that completes the album gently.

G Jones’ headline tour is showing the new audiovisual production at one of the most iconic venues in the world. Calling the debut of ‘Paths’ at Red Rocks, “…an actual dream come true…,” G Jones explained the significance of the album and its translation to the live stage. The show was built from scratch in collaboration with talented visual artists to create an experience that the team is rightfully proud of.

“I can hardly contain my excitement about it all. I’ve been discovering so many new ways to perform my songs in a live context, and really believe that the audiovisual aspect of the show will be far beyond anything we’ve done before,” G Jones said. The show will have a live piano, live acid bass lines, and visuals contained in a 16×9 grid system.

Aspects of the live show have been teased, but Red Rocks attendees will be experiencing ‘Paths Live’ for the first time tonight, October 15. Every song on ‘Paths’ remains melodic and blends together despite remaining distinct from one another. G Jones’ return has been long-awaited and ‘Paths Live’ is set to mark an impressive new era for the artist.

A list of the 26 dates he is playing is on his official website. Listen to G Jones’ sophomore album, ‘Paths,’ here:
