Proper NYE Unexpectedly Cancels Las Vegas Event

Three months before the festival was set to take place on NYE in Las Vegas, Proper NYE Las Vegas Canceled the event.

Just months prior to FNGRS CRSSD, organizers sent out an email canceling their two-night festival in Las Vegas. There wasn’t a reason given other than factors out of their control to cancel the New Year’s Eve celebration as a whole.

The message to ticket holders read, “Hey Friends, Not our favorite news to be passing on… but due to a number of factors outside of our control, we’ve made the unfortunate decision to cancel Proper Las Vegas. Proper NYE/NYD in San Diego is still 100% on as planned and is wholly unaffected. Las Vegas purchases will be refunded in full automatically or tickets may be transferred to San Diego by request (just reach out before 10/1). – Fngrs Crssd

Some fans on Twitter assumed it could be due to low ticket sales, with the user, @slippy_maxwell, writing, “Wow. Isn’t it too early to judge low ticket sales?” Global Dance GDE @globaldanceGDE, who broke the news wrote back, “I thought the same but they can predict how sales are doing from the moment the lineup was announced vs in a couple months. They probably didn’t want to risk it.”

This however is speculation, but I would say a pretty educated guess. This is surprising though as the lineup was pretty stacked with Camelphat, Boris Brejcha, Miss Monique, Gorgon City, Azzecca, Chris Lake, and Hot Since 82 as some of the major headliners.

It is exciting however that they are offering a ticket transfer to Proper NYE San Diego, which also offers a stellar lineup. Some big names you saw on the lineup for Las Vegas are also headlining in San Diego, you can also catch Chris Lorenzo, Walker & Royce, Zhu, Franky Wah, Maceo Plex, and Jerro.

Hopefully, more news will be shared regarding the cancelation, but in the meantime check out tickets for Proper NYE San Diego and listen to some artists below.

Hey! I'm Shiv! Music is the greatest part of my life, I remember discovering dubstep when I was 15/16 and my entire life was altered - robot noises?? I needed MORE! Now, I live in NYC and have seen over 60 artists of all genres; my favorites being Odesza, Subtronics, Rezz, Griz, Zeds Dead, John Summit and Kaskade. I am an enjoyer of music and will try everything once, I do not discriminate - there is beauty in all genres (minus country). You can usually find me in a warehouse at 4AM because I am nocturnal and will quite literally never say no to a show.

What's your reaction?
