Neil Frances Teases Upcoming Album with Disco-Infused Single “Gimme”

Less than a month before the release of their second album, Neil Frances has dropped their latest 80s-inspired single, “Gimme,” and its accompanying music video.

As Neil Frances gears up for their sophomore album to drop on October 6, they have added a new single, “Gimme,” to their repertoire. The single begins with an upbeat tempo that builds as Neil Frances showcases their house music in the music video.

Directed by Kyle Jetter, the music video follows the filming of their music video for “Standing My Ground.” In the unseen footage, the production team is captured consistently during the video as the artists dance and pose. The video for “Gimme” stays consistent with the aesthetic captured in “Standing My Ground,” complete with grainy shots and VHS tape edits.

The song lyrics are shown in various funky fonts that embody the vibe of “Gimme.” Marc Gilfry, one-half of Neil Frances, noted that songs like “Material Girl” by Madonna were inspirations behind “Gimme.” He said, “This tune is inspired by the many great instances in the history of pop music where a song speaks to pure materialism.”

Gilfry continued, “Just about everything but the kitchen sink was thrown at it sonically. Live and electronic elements were blended into the healthiest materialistic smoothie we could make.” With synths, electric guitars, and a contagious drum beat, “Gimme” blends perfectly into Neil Frances’ discography. “Gimme” and the singles that have come before serve as an exciting step towards their new era.

Neil Frances has been adding their disco-inspired, prominent beats to the electronic scene since 2017. They have shot to the top in a few years with their distinct style. Their headlining tour is kicking off on October 3 and running through mid-November.

The duo’s highly-anticipated project, ‘It’s All A Bit Fuzzy,’ is coming out on October 6. As we get closer to the full album, listen to “Gimme” by Neil Frances and watch the official music video here:
