Exron Premiere: Shlump & Xotix – “Loudboi” (Frantik Remix)

WAKAAN mainstays Shlump and Xotix share highly sought-after remix pack of their hit single “Loudboi,” featuring a jarring take by rising star Frantik.

Frantik, real name Brannan Cinnamon, burst onto the dubstep scene in 2020 when he shared an official remix for Dirtyphonics on Disciple Records. His inaugural EP was released via Buygore Records in 2021, followed by an official remix for MUST DIE! on Never Say Die later that same year.

Last year, Frantik landed a presence on multiple compilation albums, including Disciple’s Knights of the Round Table Vol. 5, Reinforcements Vol. 3, and Subsidia’s Night Vol. 7. To cap off the year impressively, Frantik released his first-ever Disciple Round Table EP titled “Simp Sauce.” Earning a reputation on Twitter for his intriguing “cursed pro tips,” Frantik is a name bass music fans can expect to encounter more frequently, whether that’s on stage or in their playlist.

In a quick rise to becoming one of the hottest names in dubstep, Frantik has made his way to WAKAAN for his biggest release yet. Today, Frantik showcases a jawdropping remix of Shlump and Xotix’s fan favorite, “Loudboi” featuring King Lung.

In only a week since its release “Loudboi” has garnered nearly 12,000 SoundCloud plays, a testament to the ripples it’s making in the dubstep scene. Both Shlump and Xotix have built reputations as some of the heaviest hitters in the bass realm, making the quick turnaround with the remix package that much more exciting.

In addition to Frantik’s tantalizing take on Shlump and Xotix’s “Loudboi,” WAKAAN has shared two additional remixes. Ahee and Shanghai Doom, both frequenters of the label, have lent their sounds to “Loudboi” in two dynamic reworks of the track.
