Disco Donnie Announces Return of Mixed-Music Motherland Festival to Highlight Reggaeton & House Music in Puerto Rico

Disco Donnie Presents and Puerto Rican-based Visionary Ally announce the second year of Motherland Festival, a reggaeton and house music-forward event in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

On November 18, Motherland Festival is marrying reggaeton and house music in the midst of stunning scenery. Back at it again in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Disco Donnie Presents and Puerto Rican-based Visionary Ally are reuniting to deliver a stacked lineup for their second year.

After seeing success in 2022 for its inaugural year, Motherland Festival 2023 is coming in hot with a full day of music. This year is featuring two stages, some of the biggest names in reggaeton and house, extraordinary art installations, brand activations, and more. Aiming to be more than just an incredible day of music, the festival is a tribute to reggaeton and a celebration of how house music has recently influenced the culture.

Leading Motherland Festival’s 2023 lineup are internationally acclaimed house duo The Martinez Brothers and reggaeton sensation Myke Towers, who is known for collaborations with Becky G and Bad Bunny. Another notable feature is Bad Gyal, who was highlighted as part of the Rising Women in Reggaeton by Billboard for her chart-topping tracks. Plus, emerging Puerto Rican reggaeton rapper Dei V, the influential Vico C, DJ Luian, DJ Blass, and more.

Together, Disco Donnie Presents and Visionary Ally are seasoned collaborators who have a rich history of working together on EDC Puerto Rico. Now, they’re putting forward their passion to celebrate Puerto Rican culture. Making Motherland Festival a full-circle display of their 15-year partnership and expertise in the music industry.

Victor Mercado of Visionary Ally comments, “After being in the festival scene here in Puerto Rico for 24 years, I believe that Motherland is going to be THE destination festival in the Caribbean. It’s a proud moment for me to lead this incredible project with Donnie, who’s a longtime friend. We’re doing this one for the culture and I’m thrilled that we get to shine a spotlight on some incredible Reggaeton as well as House artists along the way.”

Upon the recent announcement of this year’s lineup, the buzz is already building. The sun-soaked destination of San Juan combined with heavyweight headliners makes Motherland Festival the perfect tropical escape this fall.
