Exron Exclusive Interview: Juliet Mendoza at Knee Deep LA

After a year full of shows, festivals, music, and even some tears, we caught up with the ever-talented Juliet Mendoza for an interview before her show at LA’s Union Station.

Juliet Mendoza is a female DJ, producer, dancer, event series owner, and all-around talent. She comes from creative roots with her mother being a singer, and her father being a bass player and dancer. It wasn’t long until Juliet started dancing as early as 13 that her career in the arts would take off.

Today, Juliet is touring the world, runs an event series called ‘Jills House‘, is a member of a collective dance studio called ‘Open House’, and is currently working on starting up her own label. She plans to start putting out music on her label by the end of 2023. Additionally, Juliet is also working on creating her first-ever vinyl press for her upcoming releases.

Exron first got in touch with Juliet when she played at Hot Since 82‘s ‘Knee Deep In LA’ last year at Pershing Square in Downtown LA. Juliet rocked a sunset performance that left the crowd wanting more. Since then, we’ve been watching Juliet grow more and more as an artist. Almost a year to the day, Juliet returned to play Knee Deep in LA for a second time with Hot Since 82, only this time it took place at the historic, Union Station. Yes, you heard that right. The active train station was converted into a functioning venue in order to host a few thousand fans. This what just one of these events where you had to be there.

Check out our interview with Juliet Mendoza below to see how she got to where she is today and where she plans on taking her eclectic DJ career.

My name is Sebastian Medina and I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Ever since I could remember, I have always been in love with dance music. I appreciate all genres and sub-genres but I definitely gravitate towards house and techno. Being from LA I was blessed with an amazing nightlife full of different artists coming in and out of town throughout the years. Some of my favorite artists include Seth Troxler, Michael Bibi, Mr.Carmack, PAWSA, and Folamour.
