Gigantic NGHTMRE Prepare TO TAKE OVER THE Brooklyn Mirage to Celebrate Inaugural EP

GIGANTIC NGHTMRE (BIG GIGANTIC B2B NGHTMRE) IS TAKING OVER THE BROOKLYN MIRAGE WITH SUPPORT FROM MEMBA, MADDY O’NEAL, AND CROG B2B BOYEZ FOR A HEADBANGING SUNDAY SERVICE.

Sunday; the day of rest, maybe a nice roast dinner, or 1000 hungover Gatorades on your couch while watching Love Island for the 15th time has just gotten a lot heavier. Big Gigantic and NGHTMRE are teaming up for their iconic festival headlining b2b, Gigantic NGHTMRE at the Brooklyn Mirage this Sunday, July 30th.

Gigantic NGHTMRE, made up of the trio Tyler Marenyi (NGHTMRE), Dominic Lalli and Jeremy Salken (Big Gigantic) are taking their talents to the Mirage fresh off a phenomenal show at Shambhala Music Festival in Canada. Typically, the collab between the headbanging megastars is only seen at festivals (caught them at Hijinx last year and I was FLOORED), but this is their FIRST venue headlining show; a huge accomplishment for the Brooklyn Mirage for hosting and the trio for headlining.

Gigantic NGHTMRE is fresh off their Shambhala headlining show.

A venue headlining show isn’t the only new thing on Gigantic NGHTMRE’s plate, as they dropped a new single “Back For More,” last month to add to their catalog of music. Not only is this their first headline show, but also their official EP release party. Big Gigantic draws influence from horns and NGHTMRE has some jaw-dropping basslines so get ready to throw your neck out.

Also included in the line-up that is sure to cure the Sunday Scaries, is MEMBA. Memba has been gaining attention and gaining it quickly. The duo is made up of Ishaan Chaudhary and Will Curry, both New York natives. Having headlined a show at Webster Hall in May, going from an intimate venue to the world-renowned Brooklyn Mirage is a massive change in scenery. MEMBA dropped their most recent EP, ‘UNI(*)N‘ in April of this year. They also have some bangers in their vault such as “Walls Down,” featuring EVAN GIIA who happens to be married to Chaudhary.

Maddy O’Neal will also be taking the stage. Maddy O’Neal has had a killer year as well, opening up for the legend, GRiZ at his surprise pop-up show in Denver a few months back. In addition, she has been teasing her fans with single releases of her new EP expected this September. The two releases, ‘Woofer’ and ‘Free Yourself’ dropped July 25th and arrive 6 years after her debut album with some killer EPs released throughout those 6 years.

To start the show, get there early to catch the b2b between Crog and Boyez, two NYC locals who are taking the scene by storm. Crog b2b Boyez opened for Crankdat in January and for Hugel in March (check out their Crankdat set here). The duo has musical diversity to rip it in any genre, from dubstep to house. In addition to Crankdat and Hugel, Crog opened for Sofi Tukker at Marquee in June, and Boyez opened for Knock2 at the Great Hall in March. Crog and Boyez are two to keep an eye on as they continue to garner a larger name for themselves in the NYC scene and beyond.

We’re in for a helluva Sunday folks – catch you all at my house of worship, the Brooklyn Mirage this Sunday! Tickets are available here and check out Gigantic NGHTMRES’s new single below!

Hey! I'm Shiv! Music is the greatest part of my life, I remember discovering dubstep when I was 15/16 and my entire life was altered - robot noises?? I needed MORE! Now, I live in NYC and have seen over 60 artists of all genres; my favorites being Odesza, Subtronics, Rezz, Griz, Zeds Dead, John Summit and Kaskade. I am an enjoyer of music and will try everything once, I do not discriminate - there is beauty in all genres (minus country). You can usually find me in a warehouse at 4AM because I am nocturnal and will quite literally never say no to a show.

What's your reaction?
