Sound Haven Shares Statement After Attendees Wait 18+ Hours to Enter Venue

Sound Haven shares an apology as delayed entry waiting times surpass 18 hours.

Nobody likes to have to wait hours for an event they’ve been looking forward to for months, especially when that wait time hits the 18-hour mark. After delayed entry into Jaceland on Friday from damages caused by a massive storm, Sound Haven shares an apology to their attendees for the long wait.

In the apology below, the festival debated canceling the event altogether because it was projected to continue raining through the weekend. But they announced that their team worked long hours overnight to get people into the venue.

According to a source from The Festival Owl, “Got to the line to enter the venue around 6 pm last night (7/20), and STILL waiting in line to enter the venue with no bathroom, little gas, no hot food, no updates from the festival at all.” The Festival Owl also gave props to Sound Haven saying “I do want to give credit where due for the apology. More than you see from many events in similar situations, ever.”

Even with the long wait times, things became easier once the weather warmed up and hardened the muddy grounds. While on Thursday people weren’t able to get in, things were able to resume as normal on Friday once attendees came in.

Through the weekend, people were able to navigate to the different event tents that were set up. All of the complaints about the entry wait times on the festival’s social media died down after the statement was released.

For people who were not able to go, Sound Haven’s social media has been posting different videos of artists performing. What started off as a bumpy ride, turned into an unforgettable weekend for patrons.
