John Summit Taps UK Duo Gorgon City for Hard-Hitting Remix of “Where You Are” Featuring Hayla

“Where You Are” by John Summit has gained an impressive amount of success since its release and was recently remixed by GRiZ. Now, Gorgon City is putting their own spin on it, adding intense beats.

Gorgon City has established themselves as a staple in electronic music over their decade-long career. Their remix of “Where You Are” holds the same emotion as the original, adding intense, high-tempo beats and hard techno drops.

Gorgon City’s remix of the single begins with pumping beats and energetic drops. The vocal chops translate well into the climaxes of the track, as they are taken over by bass. Hayla’s smooth vocals add more dimension to the track and give it the ability to stay true to the original. Complete with a robotic voice saying, “You are never alone,” before each drop, the remix is continually building anticipation, keeping it compelling.

“Where You Are” hit number two on Dance Radio in the United States and number nine on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic charts and has already amassed over 30 million streams on Spotify alone. Neither Gorgon City nor John Summit is showing any sign of slowing down.

The club-worthy remix, released on Off The Grid/Darkroom Records, has been played by Dom Dolla, MK, and Danny Howard. Gorgon City’s beats are contagious and groovy, making their touch on the hit worth a listen.

The duo and John Summit have both climbed high in electronic music, releasing popular house tracks. The North London producers also have a residency in Ibiza and are playing festivals including Lollapalooza and Tomorrowland. All three artists have half a billion streams and charting tracks under their belts with headlining shows at iconic venues like Red Rocks.

Gorgon City’s remix of “Where You Are” shows their versatility and ability to take the track in their own direction. It is available to listen to now on all streaming platforms. Listen to it on Spotify here:
