Watch 13-Year-Old DJ Calum Kieran Get Advice From Hardwell While at Revealed Recordings HQ

13-year-old Irish Dj Calum Kieran is already meeting with legends like Hardwell.

As most 13-year-olds are spending their summers going to the mall with friends or scrolling on TikTok, this is not what Irish DJ Calum Kieran has on his mind. Even though he hasn’t put out any original music yet, the young star already has 175 thousand Instagram followers and is getting recognition from loads of people in the industry.

Invited to Revealed Recordings HQ, Kieran was treated to a tour of the label and got to meet with legendary music executive Hardwell. On a call with the boss, Kieran was able to ask Hardwell some questions and asked for advice on his future career.

“I already know who you are so that’s a good thing, you’re really great at your social media game” Hardwell exclaims to the young DJ. Complimenting Kieran on his social media game, Hardwell also congratulates him on other celebrities noticing his musical talents. A couple of weeks ago, Dutch DJ and music producer Tiësto also reposted Kieran’s music on his page.

At the beginning of the phone meeting, Hardwell tells Kieran, “I’ll sign a record from you one day.” Something like this would be able to give the child the kind of career many people dream about having.

Concluding the meeting, Kieran’s told that, “The best advice is to work on your own music.” Kieran responded that he was almost done with his own original music that he is hoping to share soon with fans.

Many record labels will want to hear music made by artists before signing them onto a deal because editing other people’s music together isn’t the exact same as making your own. The release of Kieran’s own original music would help him get picked up from a label. Even though he’s only mixed other people’s music so far, it’s pretty certain that he will be able to easily find success in his own original tracks.
