Bedouin CompletEs 7-Year Journey to Create First-Ever Album ‘Temple of Dreams’

Bedouin releases their first studio album, ‘Temple OF Dreams’ after seven years in the making.

Over the course of the last seven years, Bedouin has been tirelessly working through sleepless nights in Ibiza, the uncertainty of the pandemic, and even on the L Train to create and release their first studio album, ‘Temple of Dreams’. Bedouin, a duo consisting of US-based DJs, Tamer Malki and Rami Abousabe, have created a musical journey over the last seven years they shared with the world on May 19th.

Over the last few years, specifically during the pandemic, Bedouin spent a significant amount of time working on existing material as well as creating, composing, writing, and collaborating on new tracks. The album, ‘Temple of Dreams’ is the product of these sessions, transporting the listener across the globe with inspiration from their middle eastern heritage, to the jungle of Tulum and even the chaos of the L Train in NYC. The diversity of the inspiration of the album brings the listener on a journey throughout Bedouin’s experiences and travels.

Bedouin releases a new album, ‘Temple of Dreams.’

”Temple of Dreams’ is an experiment that pushes boundaries and genres and lies between what we play live and what we’re capable of writing and producing,” said Malki. “We wanted to exceed expectations and present something completely new and sonically unexpected. This is not a collection of cuts; ‘Temple of Dreams’ is a deep listening experience – a journey as winding and unpredictable as the last seven years.”

Bedouin has been featured on multiple labels throughout their career. Some of the more popular names are Crosstown Rebels, Get Physical, and All Day I Dream. ‘Temple of Dreams’ is released on their own label, Human By Default. The creation of their own label represents the growth of the duo as artists and producers with a dedication to enigmatic music that transcends one genre.

Since 2020, Bedouin has released multiple EPs on Human by Default, including their Whistleman EP. In 2022, they partnered with Cercle in Petra, Jordan to record a magical set from the ancient city in the desert. The duo has also frequented the highly popular Burning Man festival since 2012 and began an Ibiza residency and event concept, SAGA in 2017. SAGA, a hyper-surrealist and mysterious production recently had a blow-out event at Avant Gardner in Brooklyn this past spring.

Less than a week after the release of ‘Temple of Dreams’, on May 24th, Bedouin begins their 2023 expedition of musical exploration at Pacha with a large line-up and enchanting visual production. Check out Bedouin’s tour dates here and stream ‘Temple of Dreams’ here.

Hey! I'm Shiv! Music is the greatest part of my life, I remember discovering dubstep when I was 15/16 and my entire life was altered - robot noises?? I needed MORE! Now, I live in NYC and have seen over 60 artists of all genres; my favorites being Odesza, Subtronics, Rezz, Griz, Zeds Dead, John Summit and Kaskade. I am an enjoyer of music and will try everything once, I do not discriminate - there is beauty in all genres (minus country). You can usually find me in a warehouse at 4AM because I am nocturnal and will quite literally never say no to a show.
