Sebastian Ingrosso Shares Heartfelt Post in Honor of 10-Year Anniversary of “Reload”

Sebastian Ingrosso’s legendary EDM track ‘Reload’ still holds up a decade later.

Everyone has that special song that, with just the opening chords, can take you back to the very first time you listened. For many of us, Sebastian Ingrosso’s EDM magnum opus ‘Reload’ is one of those songs. The 2013 track, featuring John Martin and Tommy Trash, is a bonafide staple of the EDM community and still holds up ten years later.

To celebrate the decade-long anniversary of the track, Ingrosso took to Instagram. “Reload 10 years!!!” he captioned the celebratory post. “There’s nothing more to say then to say thank you to every single one of you who shares a moment or a memory with this song and has supported this song I love you all and thank you @djtommytrash for letting me in to the studio that day and to @johnmartinofficial & @michelzitron for delivering timeless lyrics and Melodie’s thank you.”

Both fans and friends of the Swedish DJ took to the comments to celebrate, congratulate, and share their own personal memories of the song. “An absolute beauty,” commented Calvin Harris, while Alesso showed his support with fire and muscle emojis. “This song made my childhood and a lot of memories in my life man,” one user wrote. “Thanks a lot for making a masterpiece and one of the most iconic songs of EDM.”

“I rememeber [sic] the release day, cuz i was at a pre-drinks for a club… and i made sure waited until midnight, so i could purchase the record and listen at least once. When i arrived at the club, the dj played the record… i went BANANAS! What a tune :),” another user commented. In addition to replying to many individual comments, Ingrosso shared his thanks for the love and support he received in general, writing, “Reading all of this and it warms my heart and soul love you all.”

Ingrosso has been a staple of what many dub the golden era of EDM and big room house music since the early 2000s. His first major hit, 2005’s ‘Together,’ was a collaboration with fellow DJ Axwell. Ingrosso and Axwell continued to work together throughout the early aughts and with Steve Angello, the founder of Size Records and a childhood friend of Ingrosso’s.

The three officially formed Swedish House Mafia in 2008, the dance house music supergroup with hits like 2010’s ‘One (Your Name)’ featuring Pharrell Williams, 2011’s ‘Save The World,’ and 2012’s ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ featuring John Martin. After taking a hiatus from 2013 to 2018, Swedish House Mafia reunited with a surprise closing set at Ultra Music Festival’s 20th anniversary.

2022 saw the release of the group’s debut studio album ‘Paradise Again,’ which includes the hit track ‘Moth To A Flame’ featuring The Weeknd. Meanwhile, during SHM’s hiatus, Ingrosso continued to make music with Axwell as Axwell /\ Ingrosso, releasing the album ‘More Than You Know’ in 2017 and headlining Tomorrowland that same year.

Ingrosso’s most recent solo release, ‘U Ok?’, came out this year and features PARISI and Steve Angello.
