Carl Craig Launches Party/After-Party Sessions with Insomniac and Secret Project at MOCA
Techno producer Carl Craig is bringing his electrifying sets to The Geffen Contemporary at the Museum of Contemporary Art with Wommi’s WAREHOUSE Programs in Los Angeles.
With a dedication to creating an immersive musical experience connected with art, Carl Craig is teaming up with the Museum of Contemporary Art for a three-show series this summer. MOCA receives praise for its contribution to the art scene as it has held thousands of art exhibits since 1979.
Longtime producer Carl Craig has been in the game since the 1980s, influencing techno incredibly throughout his career. In conjunction with Secret Project, the producer’s Party/After-Party Sessions are taking the venue to another level with immersive installations and pulsing music commissioned by Dia Art Foundation.
On May 25, DJ Holographic, King Britt, and Mortiz Von Oswald are joining the DJ in beginning the series. Kenny Larkin, Kyle Hall, and Rimarkable are supporting on June 17, followed by Moodymann, DJ Minx, and Erno finishing the concerts on July 22. Every artist involved in the series is talented in their own distinct ways, bringing a number of vibes to the scene.
Insomniac, a well-known festival promoter, is also working with the team to promote community and bring people together through art. Carl Craig pays homage to black pioneers in techno and house as neon lights take over the space. After walking further, the ceiling opens into a skylight, allowing natural light to engulf the area as if its sunrise.
Carl Craig is focused on building sets that show performances from the DJ’s perspective, bringing bangers to the dancefloor. His techno hits and mastery in producing and playing music are shining through his Party/After-Party Sessions.
Tickets for Carl Craig’s Party/After-Party Sessions are now available here. MOCA members receive a $5-$15 discount depending on the day. Listen to his most recent release from 2021, “Forever Free,” here:
