LSDREAM’s Red Rocks Show Sells Out Instantly

It was all a dream: LSDREAM is taking over Red Rocks Amphitheatre with DREAMROCKS, a two-hour set with live performances and special guests.

This is one dream that’s even better in real life. Why? Because it’s really happening: After manifesting for years (according to an Instagram post), LSDREAM is headlining his very own show at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO, joining the ranks of fellow headliners John Summit, Zeds Dead, Rezz, Flume, and Carl Cox for the 2023 season.

On April 24, LSDREAM announced DREAMROCKS via Instagram, writing, “ITS FINALLY HAPPENING! DREAMROCKS!! Beyond grateful to share with you all that I will be performing at RED ROCKS on OCTOBER 12th. This has been my biggest dreams since the inception of this project and something I know we all have manifested together. This will be the most special, one of a kind show I have ever put on, a 2 hour set, with some live performances and special guests. Cannot wait to create this core memory with you all…”

The presale for DREAMROCKS went live on April 26 and sold out within minutes. In a Tweet, LSDREAM announced that there would be a public sale that Friday which also sold out as rapidly as it was announced. While fans and friends of the artist certainly showcased how proud they were of LSDREAM, they also pointed to the fact that for many of them, getting tickets was impossible.

Many users blamed bots and ticket scalpers, a phenomenon that has been becoming evermore present in both the EDM and general music communities. One user commented, “My king it sold out in 3 minutes to bots. This continues to happen on axs. Please attempt a more fair sale in the future that can put an end to this sh** and let real fans get good prices.”

Another echoed the sentiment, writing, “How does a 9,000+ attendee venue sellout in 5 min or less??? I was also in line during the pre sale, and today as soon as it would allow me to wait in the waiting room just to see all these errors and bs about nothing being available…I know it’s bots but honestly what is the solution? Idk about anyone else, but the jokes on you if you decide to pay 2-5x the price that it should be.”

While ticket scalping is certainly a major concern that needs to be addressed across genres, platforms, and venues, others also celebrated LSDREAM’s incredible accomplishments. On a video message announcing the show, one user commented, “Bro seeing you smile while sharing this just made me cheese so big. Happy for you, we all appreciate all you’ve done for us.”

Another wrote, “this gave me the chills. thank you for your high frequency. you inspire me everyday.” But this comment seems to sum it up best: “We love you!!” For LSDREAM, it seems that dreams really can come true.
