Party Favor and Baauer Launch New Project DNH Services at Coachella

Party Favor and Baauer? You must mean Dylan & Harry–the newest collab from the EDM legends, also known as DNH Services, debuted at Coachella this past weekend.

Coachella: It’s the festival of festivals where influencers, celebs, and music lovers alike go to frolic in the desert of Indio, California while singing along to their favorite pop, rock, and indie acts. Major stages, art installations, food galore, and… a tent dedicated to the best electronic and dance music all day long? Sign us up!

While The Do LaB may not be the most well-known aspect of Coachella, it’s been a staple of the acclaimed fest for years. The tent is housed under a larger-than-life artistic structure (with this year’s iteration being aptly named ‘the Beacon’) and is the perfect place to cool down from the hot desert sun while simultaneously heating up to a lineup of some of the best electronic artists in the world.

For Weekend One, The Do LaB did not disappoint: The stacked lineup included Flight Facilities, Whipped Cream, Phantoms, Kasablanca, and more. Another holy tradition for The Do LaB at Coachella? Surprise artist appearances, with Weekend One including none other than James Blake, Dombresky, Odesza, Uncle Waffles, and Monolink

One mysterious set time on Sunday was allotted to Dylan & Harry. While at first glance these names may seem like newcomers on the electronic music scene, it’s in fact quite the opposite: The duo is made up of Party Favor and Baauer, two EDM giants in their own rights.

In fact, Dylan Ragland, better known by his stage name of Party Favor, posted on Instagram previewing the collab before the weekend happened, writing, “…then heading to @coachella launching @dnhservices with my dear friend @baauer at @thedolab this sunday. wish I could go back and tell my college self about this. thank you all for supporting me and what I do. Still got it baby.”

The @dnhservices Instagram itself gave no hints as to what was in store for the collab, the duo’s first since their B2B set at the Brownies & Lemonade Block Party in 2019. The only two posts on the page show Party Favor and Baauer–or should we call them Dylan & Harry?–sitting on a couch with a different bizarre greenscreen background behind them.

The performance itself was as wild, whimsical, and downright wacky as one would hope from DNH Services. Party Favor posted a recap on Instagram captioned, “2023 seemed like a swell time to get together with the man with the nicest hair in the game @baauer. Got to play for the first time together in 4 years as @dnhservices. Experimented playing some new tracks. Reception was incredible. Might have to play a few shows and drop some of these songs we made. We still got it.”

So is there more of Dylan & Harry to come in the future? Looks like odds are in our favor.
