Subtronics and Fianceé Level Up Lose “Everything” to Thief Ahead of Red Rocks Show

Two dubstep producers, Subtronics and Level Up, recently faced thief of personal electronic devices ahead of big shows for the artist.

It is always a sad day when we hear of misfortune for them of our favorite DJs and producer. So, when the current adversity occurred to Subtronics and his fiancee Level Up, fans showed remorse for the talented couple. The foul play is something no producer wants to happen to them, too. Subtronics, the dubstep producer and DJ, and his fiance announced on Twitter that they lost everything to thief.

As a musician, losing all of your music files and sets can be devastating. It is not only the hours of work that vanish. But, also the emotional attachment to the music which the producer now lost. This is a difficult situation for anyone to go through. But, it is especially tough for someone in the music industry. Losing a laptop and USBs can mean losing hours upon hours of work. But, for a DJ like Subtronics and Level Up, it can mean losing access to all their music. This includes all edits and mixes needed for upcoming shows

In her Twitter post, Level Up expressed how heartbroken she was and how she worked tirelessly to rebuild her sets for her upcoming show. But unfortunately, the theft incident forced her to cancel her San Diego show.  She posted to her Twitter stating “Unfortunately I will not be able to make my San Diego show tonight but Grabbitz has been added!  I’m home trying to replace my belongings and trying to file for a new passport, but I will be back for the Palladium shows and the rest of the tour. Yes, I’ve filed a police report and no they aren’t doing anything to help.”

Similarly, Subtronics made a post about the theft incident. He posted to his Twitter stating “Hey guys, everything I had got stolen the other night, laptop, USBs, all the clothes I had with me. we are devastated but we have our health and each other .thankfully I have a fairly recent back up so the red rocks VIPs and WIPs I had planned are mostly safe, but it’s no sleep.

Our hearts go out to Subtronics, Level Up, and their teams during this difficult time. We hope both recover what they lost and wish them the best in getting there. Until then, you can find Subtronic’s latest single “Womp Portal” below.

I have been writing for Exron Music for around eight months now and cannot wait to see what is to come throughout the years. At festivals and clubs, you will find me at any house and techno stage supporting my favorites Eli Brown or Dom Dolla, or belting every word to Porter Robinson tracks wherever he performs.
