Best Miami Music Week Parties of 2023

Miami Music Week reigned in the festival season with straight heat and not one beat missed by renowned and upcoming DJs and producers.

Hello fellow fairies and wizards, we’re baaaaaack. It has officially been one week since Miami Music Week, and we are still recovering from the wook flu and series of afters. The nostalgia has just kicked in, and the dreamers (me) are awake from their recovery hibernation. Most of the team from Exron Music made a full send to Miami Music Week to celebrate life, share our love for electronic music, and maybe catch a new ID (or two) under every disco ball. It would be a lie to say that there’s a top 5, but in no specific order, here are my top 10 favorite Miami Music Week events.

Afterlife

Each time I attend an Afterlife event, let alone see Tale of Us, I keep saying it can not get better than this until I am proven wrong once again. Afterlife provided an unforgettable experience with seamless transitions between each artist. Their signature visuals create a whirlwind rollercoaster experience you do not want to get off of or ever leave.

Elrow

Elrow is back at Factory Town for its second event. This year’s theme was ROWLYMPICS GAMES featuring a Julius Cesar-themed Palace, two stages, flames, torches, rings, and vaulting poles with 10+ hours of an unforgettable setlist featuring Daizy, Chris Lake, Kerri Chandler, LP Giobbi, and Tini Gessler. This event provided iconic b2b such as Chelina b2b Bastian Bux, Deeper Purpouse b2b Joshwa, Lee Foss b2b Mau P, and MK b2b Sonny Fodera. It is hard to pick a favorite, but I will say that Deeper Purpose b2b Joshwa and Lee Foss b2b Mau P felt like hanging out with your best friends. The vibes were immaculate and I could not stop dancing.

Solid Grooves

If you went to Solid Grooves, you know it was the sexiest party Club Space has ever hosted. The holy trinity that is a B3B from Michael Bibi, Dennis Cruz, and PAWSA complement each other so well when it comes to their selection of bass, beats, funky disco tunes, and slow hip grooves. The whole room was horny and I could not stop dancing. I know I said I did not have any particularly ordered favorites, but this party was stuck inside my head throughout Miami Music Week.

Off The Grid

Miami’s newest resident & the Latina’s favorite Chicago boy, John Summit, hosted his label party at Factory Town in Hialeah. The Bender King performed a legendary b2b with Nicole Moudaber and had Off The Grid artists such as Deeper Purpose, Joshwa, and Max Styler perform. This was a closing party for the books Link Miami Rebels!

Drumcode

M2 Miami is taking over their first U.S. Resistance residency with a sold-out Drumcode takeover! Adam Beyer provides a mystical and sexy underground experience that sets up the expectation for the following artists at M2 to match up. The event production of M2 creates a whole experience catered to every sense. By the end of his set, each hair on my body was standing up.

Charlotte de Witte at M3

Following her iconic and historical performance at Ultra Music Festival’s main stage, the techno queen herself slayed M3 with a sold-out show featuring guests like the powerful Indira Paganotto. Each time I see these two perform together, it leaves a tear in my eye to see such talented women dominating their art.

The Altered State Experience

Welcome to the new dimension of experimental sounds. Zeds Dead, Ayybo, Mary Droppin, Noises, and guests gathered at The Ground Miami, a venue inside Club Space Miami, for the first time to gift a memorable experience. Bravo, to the team at The Ground Miami for a bass-tastic week.

Hellbent Offical Label Party

Cloonee gave the Latinas what we wanted and brought hell to Miami Music Week with the official Hellbent label party at Floyd Miami, located within the same vicinity as Club Space Miami. Cloonee’s spicy Latin tech house vibe is storming the streets of Miami with a sexy, irresistible vibe. If your girl was behind the DJ Booth at this party, she’s now Cloonee’s girl

Rossi @ Club Space

House producer, DJ, and HOME GROWN Label founder Rossi has been taking over the US with his undeniably positive and radiant energy and pure talent. Shazam was doing overtime at this show because not one ID could be picked up with how well he was keeping me on my toes; all you wanted to do was enjoy the present moment. Congrats to the HOMEGROWN team!

Black Coffee @ Factory Town

Opening up for Mita Gami, ANOTR, and Black Coffee, Miami-grown DJ, vocalist, and songwriter Milushka left an imprint on Miami Music Week with her musical creativity involving her Spanish roots and multiple subgenres of house music. Keep an eye on this one, ladies and gents; she IS the tone. Black Coffee inevitably kept me on my toes throughout the night, slowly grooving my hips around each beat.

Yoooo, the homies call me Marz. I am a multidimensional Piscean Latina fairy from Miami-Dade County (no, not Florida). Electronic music has allowed me to appreciate the profound beauty that can be found in finding peace within the chaos. Artists such as Rezz, Skrillex, John Summit, Michael Bibi, and Amtrac blend the two seamlessly, creating a harmonious balance that resonates with me whenever I am on the dancefloor. When I am writing about electronic music, I feel this same balance of peace and chaos moving through me - starting in my hips, filling my heart, and radiating out from my soul. The power of music has brought me to this exact moment, and I only desire that you feel the warmth of the sun through my words.
