Carl Cox To Perform Special Hybrid Live Set in Central Park This Summer

Carl Cox returns to the United States with three new Hybrid Set performances in New York, Colorado, and California.

British techno veteran and pioneer Carl Cox refuses to be associated with “yesterday.” Instead, he is a vibrant blend of the past, present and future all at once. With over 40 years of experience to his name, he continues to bring groundbreaking ideas to the electronic music circuit, which is precisely why his presence is so necessary.

One of the most prominent deck technicians in the world, Cox is now set to bring his exuberant Hybrid Set to three of the most iconic open-air venues in the United States, namely Central Park (New York), Red Rocks Amphitheater (Colorado) and Naud Street (California). The trek will begin on the East Coast, make a stop midway and wrap up on the West.

After launching last year, his Hybrid Sets have been making the waves in the EDM space. His live sets are ripe with action, from using drum machines to remixing crowd favorites to playing instruments. His performances aren’t your average DJ set because they involve Cox mixing his multi-deck DJ abilities with his own music.

The three-part concert series will commence in New York City’s Central Park on Saturday, September 30. A week later, Cox will head inland for a performance at Morrison’s Red Rocks Amphitheater on Sunday, October 8. Finally, he will conclude his brief United States stint at Naud Street in Los Angeles on Saturday, October 21.

Cox said the following about his upcoming American shows: “Taking my Hybrid Set to these iconic venues is going to be something very special and unique for me. My full Hybrid Set sees me perform my own electronic music live, fused with everything I bring to the dancefloor as a DJ so these are exciting spaces to do just that!”

The legendary DJ has been speeding since the release of his first album in ten years. The 17-track ‘Electronic Generations‘ demanded respect as soon as it dropped last year, reminding EDM fans who brought them this far. Cox will now take his brilliance from the studio to the stage, and we have every reason to believe it’s going to be massive!
