Kaskade and deadmau5 Release Career-Changing Debut Album as Kx5

Kaskade and deadmau5 finally release their highly anticipated debut album as Kx5 and it truly was worth the wait! 

This is not a drill! Kaskade and deadmau5 finally blessed fans with the release of their debut album as Kx5 out on all streaming platforms now! These two legendary DJs and producers have been working together for a long time, and fans have been eagerly anticipating this album. So, let’s rejoice in the album release just in time to listen to it on repeat all weekend. 

This album is one that is sure to make history in the dance community. Kaskade and deadmau5 are pioneers in the electronic dance music scene and make an incredible team. Together the duo produced some of the most iconic tracks in the industry, like ‘Move for Me’ and ‘I Remember’. And now 14 years later, the duo has formalized their occasional collaborations and long-running friendship into an official project, Kx5. The duo carries on the genre-defining spirit of their early work with additional excellence. From their decade and a half of studio and onstage experience for each, pure magic was created in each track. Their unique styles complement each other perfectly, and we’re lucky to witness such musical talent from the two.

Kx5 is a 10-track album that showcases the best of both Kaskade and deadmau5’s styles. It’s a blend of progressive house, techno, and melodic beats that take the listener on a journey through different emotions. The album features collaborations with artists like Elderbrook, Sofi Tukker, and Hayla, adding a unique touch to each track. Kx5 isn’t just an album, but an adventure that transports the listener to a whole new world.

Certainly, each song takes you on its own unique journey. The album features the staple tracks we’ve played on repeat since their release. These tracks include ‘Alive’, ‘Sacrifice‘, ‘Escape’, ‘Take Me High’, ‘When I Talk’, and ‘Avalanche’. But, listeners were also given four new tracks to get obsessed over. ‘Bright Lights’ showcases the unique Kaskade vocal and melody everyone loves, giving almost a 2000s nostalgic vibe throughout the track. While ‘pwdr blu’ gives late-night vibes, featuring the hypnotic vocal ‘pwdr blu’ by Brother with slow melodic beats to get you in your feels instantly. Then, ‘Eat Sleep’ is a straight techno dream by these genius producers, sure to make you want to dance. Lastly, we get another dance beat from the duo, something almost experimental with ‘Obsidian’ featuring again those catchy drum beats. 

Certainly, the duo worked hard on this album and it truly shows! Their collaboration is a long-awaited project that has exceeded our expectations. Also, it is an album that is sure to make a significant impact on the electronic dance music scene. Kx5 is not just an album, but a testament to the power of collaboration.
