Luci (Formerly Lucii) Drops Long-Awaited Single “Girlfriend” With a Spicy Music Video

Luci’s newest release and music video are nothing less than SPICY.

Luci’s new sultry track breaks down her wish of “kinda wanting a girlfriend,” but also how she “kinda does not.” This is because she just got out of a relationship that didn’t end well, and felt she never wanted to be in a relationship again – but then met a pretty girl.

Luci explained the woman she met inspired her to make a song about her and the mixed feelings she made her feel. Luci’s crush made her want affection and to hold someone’s hand again, but reminded her of how she does not want to get hurt.

The alien DJ proved she is not shy in the music video for “girlfriend” as she turned things up a notch in a few sexy scenes of her and model Alissa Butt making out in a pool along with rolling around in bed.

She has also been teasing the music video for weeks on her social media with some proactive clips of the two. The video premiered in Wonderland Magazine which shouted out Luci and said the song is a perfect example of her artistic development.

Luci has been known in the past to have more of an experimental dub/ heavy dubstep sound but has recently moved toward pop music. Her recent release “Narcissist” demonstrates her first attempts at the new pop sound. She has noted in the past that she had an identity crisis during the pandemic and felt she was only making dubstep because of the crowd’s reaction. She wants her new sound to showcase a more mature and real sound where she can show off her vocals and her songwriting.

The artist’s DJ name was formerly recognized with two i’s like “Lucii” but she explained in early February that she recently had to undergo a name change due to trade marking issues. Luci noted it will take a “weird period” of getting everything changed across socials and she apologizes for the confusion between names all over the place currently.

I remember hearing Edm for the first time and thinking I knew this type of music would change my life. I love all genres and the art that goes behind it all. You can catch me dancing to a wide range of tunes.
