Sullivan King and Excision Surprise Fans With Massive Collab “Fall Apart”

Bassheads, this one is for you: Sullivan King and Excision team up for speaker-shattering and headbang-inducing track ‘Fall Apart.’

‘Fall Apart’ was first debuted by longtime friends and music collaborators Sullivan King and Excision at their illustrious B2B set at Lost Lands 2022. Now, for the first time, the track is released on streaming services. Equal parts metal, dubstep, rock, and emo, the track illustrates what the two do best: mixing heartfelt, haunting vocals and instrumentals with face-melting electronic drops.

“‘Fall Apart’ really quickly became one of my favorite tracks for the record, mainly because it has this really raw nu metal/2000’s rock influence to it, which is something I definitely grew up on and loved,” Sullivan King explained. “It’s a really simple song that doesn’t have a ton of complicated layers, which is something I’ve really appreciated learning from Jeff. Jeff is fantastic when it comes to making sure things are directionally clear and sonically understandable.”

‘Fall Apart’ marks the pair’s fourth collaboration, after 2018’s ‘Wake Up’ and ‘Fight Through The Pain’ and 2022’s ‘Our Fire.’ The track is the latest in Sullivan King’s forthcoming album project.

“Always have a blast working with Sullivan King!” Excision commented. “I really dig the vibe of this track with the slow melodic intro and heavy drops. ‘Fall Apart’ went off when we premiered it at our Lost Lands B2B, excited to release it!”

American DJ Keaton Prescott (better known by his stage name ‘Sullivan King’) has gained critical acclaim and a cult following for his unique fusion of EDM and heavy metal. While these two genres may not seem compatible at first, Sullivan King’s immense artistry creates a heart-racing and soul-pumping harmony between electric guitar riffs, lamenting vocals, and gutwrenching drops.

Other major works from the artist include an official remix of ‘Obsolete’ by Of Mice & Men (which was featured on the band’s deluxe edition of the album ‘Echo,’ no less) and an official remix of Atreyu’s ‘Baptize,’ exhibiting the ease with which Sullivan King can jump from genre to genre while still maintaining his personal sound.

In addition to his own original music, highly touted collaborations, and killer remixes, Excision created multiple large-scale festivals, including Lost Lands (now in its sixth year), Bass Canyon (celebrating its fifth anniversary), and Mexico-based Paradise Blue (turning two).

Sullivan King will hit the road this year starting in March with his national Thrones of Blood tour. Additionally, he’ll play revered international festivals such as Okeechobee in Florida, Tomorrowland in Belgium, and Veld in Ontario. In addition to his own festivals, Excision will make appearances at Beyond Wonderland SoCal, Okeechobee, Summer Camp, Dancefestopia, and more this festival season.
