Fans React to Blunts & Blondes’ Statement Claiming Innocence Following Allegations

Charges are dropped against Blunts & Blondes following sexual abuse allegations.

Blunt & Blondes has been the subject of a police investigation over the past three months, following allegations of sexual abuse made by Gabrielle Reinhart. Reinhart claimed that Blunt & Blondes made inappropriate sexual advances towards her after Borgore’s Foam Wonderland event in 2019.

Blunt & Blondes, whose real name is Mike Guard, has denied these allegations. In October 2022, he stated that he was falsely accused of rape, and in January 2023, he released a statement announcing that Reinhart had dropped the charges. Guard explained, “I got a call from the police department this week saying that the prosecution has decided NOT to prosecute. This girl has lied to you, lied to me, and lied to the police. I feel a little better now that my innocence is proven.”

Despite Guard’s claims of innocence, not everyone is convinced. Some members of the electronic music community expressed their doubts about the situation. One Twitter user commented, “You’ve handled and represented yourself throughout this entire situation terribly. Not going forward with charges and deleting social media does not mean you’re innocent. We didn’t forget that multiple girls came forward.”

Others agreed that the lack of prosecution doesn’t necessarily equate to innocence. Another person wrote, “I know personally that just because you’re not prosecuted doesn’t mean you didn’t do it. So many rapists walk free because the evidence is hard to find unless the victim does a rape kit immediately.”

However, there were also those who stood by Blunt & Blondes, believing that Reinhart’s intention was to defame him. A Twitter user stated, “Innocent until proven guilty. It’s insane how easy it is for any woman to ruin someone’s livelihood with one false allegation. We shouldn’t discredit real victims, but this is nonsense.”

In cases like these, it can be challenging to determine the truth. One false statement can set off a chain reaction on the internet, but we also don’t want real victims to be ignored. Guard stated in a follow-up post, “More information and documents will be released. This is just an update. She deleted every single one of her social medias. I understand some people are still upset but I’m not going to stand by and allow someone to ruin my life over baseless claims. This will be going to court.”

Guard appears to be sticking to his story and plans to take Reinhart to court for defamation. Since these allegations were made, Blunt & Blondes was forced to end his headlining tour, but he is still performing at events. He is scheduled to play at the Okeechobee festival in the coming weeks.
