Couple Gets Engaged at Shrek Rave in Hilarious Swamp-Themed Proposal

Two attendees at a recent Shrek Rave became the real All-Stars with a mirthful proposal announcement filled with plenty of Shrek quotes. 

Once upon a time, there was a lovely princess, well Shrek rave attendee. She was in for a delightful enchantment upon her. But what could it be? Only a Shrek Rave proposal from her one true love of course! At a recent Shrek event, one couple shared a special moment with everyone. They shared a ‘Shrek-tastic’ proposal with fans. And don’t worry, the proposal was full of Shrek quotes. 

In recent years, the internet has seen the rise of a unique cultural phenomenon which is Shrek Rave. The Shrek Rave is a new type of dance party that is touring around multiple cities across the United States, bringing the swamp vibes to us. The parties are naturally set to music from the soundtrack of the popular animated movie “Shrek” where party-goers dance in various costumes inspired by the characters from the movie.

All attendees definitely let their imaginations run wild. They come up with impressive and clever costumes. From Shrek and Fiona to Donkey and Puss in Boots, the possibilities are endless, and the results are often hilarious and entertaining. So, why not take it one step further and add a proposal to the fun? 

The two adorable Shrek fans made it official with their proposal this past week. In the middle of all the fun, the attendee got down on their knee to make the hilarious announcement. In the announcement, you can hear tons of references related to the phenomenal movies. Quotes like, you peeled back all my onion layers, living in a swamp together, and will you live the vida loca with me were included perfectly in the proposal. 

So, this was definitely a unique experience for all partygoers, and a night to remember for the newly engaged couple! If you want to get dancing to some Shrek classics, be on the lookout for a Shreak rave coming to a city near you. Upcoming tour dates include Chicago, Colorado, and San Francisco.
