Lucii Teases Unreleased Track About “Wanting A Girlfriend” After REZZ Split

Lucii has been teasing this track for nearly a year now, and fans have made it apparent that they want it released already.

The Lucii and Rezz breakup that took the EDM community by surprise nearly two years ago still resonates. Although the breakup itself was quiet, Lucii has been open about the many emotions she felt following the breakup. She’s also been transparent on social media, in music, and during her performances about her struggles with depression. 

However, Lucii has since got a new girlfriend, IG model Emily Sporn. The two have vacationed together, traveled to festivals together, and shared all kinds of adorable photos. Lucii has been laying low on that front, and hasn’t posted any pics with Emily lately. 

Since Lucii’s breakup with Rezz, fans have been trying to connect the dots between her music and her relationships. For example, earlier this year, she shared a song that she wrote for “the one that got away.” The lyrics, “I take it all back, I want you to know I’m sorry” and “tell me why I keep coming back when all you do is leave me on read” paint a familiar picture.

Fans also remember the track she teased about the “narcissist she used to know.” Of course, many wanted to know if this one was about Rezz, but Lucii kept it lowkey. She said, “Not throwing shade at anyone by the way, just wrote this song about my experience with someone.” Lucii has never confirmed that any song was about a particular person, but what we do know is that her lyrics resonate with many.

This time, Lucii is back to teasing her “I kinda want a girlfriend, but I kinda don’t” track. She started the video saying, “I know it’s cuffing season right now, but does anyone feel like this?” One fan commented, “Don’t you have a girlfriend?? Lol” likely in reference to all the social media posting she did with Emily earlier in the year. Lucii responded with the hands-up emoji, leaving fans in the dark about her current relationship status. 

If there’s one thing we do know, Lucii is a baddie who isn’t afraid to say (or sing) how she feels, which is why so many fans feel connected to her. We’ll be sure to post an update if she ever does release this elusive song.
