k?d Unleashes Eleven-Track Debut Artist Album ‘Cage Script’

HARDS Recs releases long-awaited debut k?d album on all streaming platforms, displaying his diverse sound and talents.

Twenty-five-year-old electronic music record producer and DJ k?d finally displays his talents in a full-length debut album with the label HARD Recs. On two tracks he features Japanese artists Masayoshi limori, as KOTONHOUSE, and Tokyo singer-songwriter RANASOL.

k?d’s highly anticipated album is entitled ‘Cage Script.’ Known already for blurring hard dance and electropop genres, this album also features innovative break and trap qualities. ‘Cage Script’ is an eleven-track piece, with six songs that have never been released before this.

Upon first listen, k?d delivers a diverse and full EDM landscape as promised, and more, from escapist, dreamy, and existential lyrics and synth effects in songs like “If This is a Dream” and “Somewhat Human,” to experimental dance beats and clean drops in songs like “Return to Nothingness” and “Flow in You.” k?d also spices up the listening experience with additions like samples and choral voices. The album altogether is celebratory as well as haunting, with each side of that pendulum of life, and everything in between, healthily interspersed.

An artist from Florida, k?d has been teasing a long-form project for years, only dropping singles and EPs since he arrived on the EDM scene in 2015. His well-loved remixes of Daft Punk and Steve James over two years ago left fans intrigued and along for the musical ride.

‘Cage Script’ was released Friday, Dec 9th. k?d first hinted at the project almost a year ago in February when he released the lead single “RETURN TO NOTHINGNESS,” so it is safe to say followers are glad the day has arrived.

k?d is known by his fans to not only love music as an art form but anime and immersive art as well. In the past, he has incorporated his own illustrations and designs in his campaigns. Accompanying ‘Cage Script’ are custom animations commissioned from Herø Projects and BAMIBOY studios.
