Martin Garrix Launches Exclusive Music Academy for Emerging Talent
Martin Garrix and JBL launch a music academy in Amsterdam for inspired young artists.
Martin Garrix and JBL launch an exciting initiative for young musicians all over the globe. Influential industry leaders, including the likes of Martin Garrix himself, will present masterclasses for 40 passionate performers during this unique experience. The new music academy is being powered by STMPD RCRDS & Studios.
The program encourages musicians, songwriters, vocalists, and producers to apply regardless of experience-level Applications from Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Korea, India, Brazil, Mexico, and the United States are welcome.
Launched in Amsterdam and to be hosted in the esteemed STMPD Studios, the academy is a global initiative. “The focus for us at STMPD RCRDS is already on emerging talent, but thanks to this collaboration with JBL we can provide a platform to a large group of new talent from all over the world,” says Martin Garrix. STMPD Studios has hosted prestigious artists in the past, including Pharrell Williams, Lady Gaga, The Black Eyed Peas, and David Guetta.
The concept behind the academy is to offer fresh, young talent a support system of industry-experts and performance opportunities as they prepare to take the world by storm. The goal is that artists will leave the program ready to enter the next stages in their careers, whatever they may be. The academy will focus on business and branding, PR, managing bookings, distribution, legal affairs, and visual identity, as well as writing, mixing, and mastering music.
The academy was launched on December 1st, 2022, and registrations will be open from December 1, 2022, to January 27, 2023. Successful applicants for this 3-day program will be announced in February 2023, and the academy will take place from March 28 to March 31, 2023.
Interested artists are asked to submit a dynamic, impassioned video and a maximum of three tracks that they feel represent their talent. Applications can be submitted here. Good luck!
