NGHTMRE Stars in New Paramount+ Show

NGHTMRE’s executively produced documentary series Sampled has come to fruition after five long years.

More and more artists are taking opportunities to expand their brands in unique ways. DJs do this in a multitude of forms by starting music labels, creating curated events, collaborating with advertisements, utilizing unique stage production, and more.

Tyler Marenyi, better known as NGHTMRE, has taken a different approach and produced a food/travel docuseries staring six different music artists interacting with the culture while on individual tours. The series is called Sampled and will officially air on December 13th on Paramount+. This will expand Marenyi’s resume from musician, DJ, and label co-owner to include executive producer.

Produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 3 Ball Productions, the idea of Sampled first originated five years ago when NGHTMRE and his brother Matt were brainstorming concepts for a TV show. The show was inspired by incredible experiences NGHTMRE shared with close friend James Winterhalter while on tour. Winterhalter executively produced various media for NGHTMRE especially his work with the new DRMVRSE project.

NGHTMRE’s team first flew to Tokyo to film a teaser for the show and after five long years can finally see it come to fruition on screen. Sampled follows the story of artists Arlo Parks, Bas, Goldlink, Marc Ribillet, Tinashe, and of course NGHTMRE while on world tours as they explore the streets and cultures of international cities. The entirety of the show took the crew two months to film.

Viewers will travel the world from the comfort of their homes through the cities of Berlin, Monterrey, Amsterdam, London, Medellin, and Tokyo as another passenger on these artists’ journeys. Tune into Sampled on December 13th in the US & Canada, the 14th in Latin America & U.K., the 22nd in Australia, and coming soon in 2023 for Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, & South Korea.

An Atlanta gal chasing her love for electronic dance music. I’ve been with Exron since 2018 and have the privilege of contributing to the culture alongside other badass women whom I now call my friends. My introduction to the scene was first influenced by trap music, but my discography has since expanded to touch a bit of everything. Some of my favorite artists are Zeds Dead, Cloonee, Nghtmre, Flume, Infekt, Sosa, Bleu Clair, Subtronics, but the list goes on forever.
