Imagine Music Festival Proves Comeback is Stronger than any Setbacks with Successful Weekend

Imagine Music Festival says we’re here to stay after a fantastic weekend in a new event location.

Imagine Music Festival rose from the ashes to pull off a successful weekend despite facing major challenges through the years. In 2020, Imagine Music Festival was postponed because of the pandemic and the following year took another cancellation hit due to severe weather.

Though the third time’s a charm and this year Imagine Music Festival found its new home at the rolling hills of the Kingston Downs property in Rome, GA. The area had an ample amount of space allowing festival goers to enjoy each set with plenty of room to dance and no sound bleeding from the stages.

Some people noted the stages were smaller this year than previous years, but on the flip side there was no skimping on production as the lasers at Imagine are always top tier. Throughout the aquatic-themed festival were art installations with local and out-of-town artists painting during the sets. It was a blast getting down at Liquid Stranger’s set while watching artists paint away at masterpieces simultaneously.

Speaking of artists, the lineup itself was stacked and made for a wide variety of acts to see each day. On Saturday we hit the full spectrum of genres from getting trippy at LSDREAM, headbanging at Peekaboo, wobbling at Ganja White Night, boogying into the early morning with Snakehips, and ending with Shiba San.

When the festival first started tensions were running high with eager ticket holders. Complaints of long lines and contaminated water were buzzing on social media. However, things often time seem worse than they are online.

The first day of the festival in a new location is bound to have its challenges with staff, but each day after was a breeze getting in and navigating the festival grounds. When we arrived onsite at the festival Friday only one water station was down, and the rest of the usable stations passed the safety test for consumption.

Aside from a few logistical issues getting into the festival, Imagine Music Festival delivered on creating magical memories for our group. The ‘plur’ vibes were in the air and every set we watched was an amazing show. The artistic touches with the live painters and performers during each set made for a unique experience and have overall convinced me to make a return next year.

For those wanting to get a head start, pre-sale tickets for 2023 are now on sale here.

My introduction to the scene was first influenced by trap music, but my discography has since expanded to touch a bit of everything. Some of my favorite artists are Zeds Dead, Cloonee, Nghtmre, Flume, Infekt, Sosa, Bleu Clair, Subtronics, but the list goes on forever.
