Jauz Fundraises for Ocean Conservation and Swims with Sharks

Sam Vogel AKA Jauz Begins Ocean Conservation Project On International Day Of Charity

DJ and producer, Jauz, has recently teamed up with Beneath The Waves to set up a fundraiser for shark conservation. The fundraised focuses on not only sharks but marine-protected areas as well. To help demonstrate the project, a short film was shot to supplement the fundraiser even further. Both Jauz and the Beneath The Waves team went on a trip throughout the Bahamas to study the sharks up close.

Beneath The Waves is a non-profit that is focused on promoting ocean health and using science and technology to catalyze ocean policy. Their primary focus is to protect threatened species, establish protected areas, and create nature-based solutions to climate change.

Jauz and Beneath The Waves have partnered up before in the past. Back in 2021, the DJ participated in a livestream event that benefited the organization. If you’re part of the shark fam, then you must be aware of Jauz’s, Bite This! Block Part Tour. All summer long he’s been performing throughout the U.S, and is finishing up his last few shows this September. The last remaining stops on the tour include Albuquerque, Phoenix, and Los Angeles. Some support acts that have been making appearances include Barilan, Brody, Ghastly, Habstrakt, Holf Goof, Jessica Audiffred, Kittens, Moore Kismet, Skepsis, Space Laces, and Vampa.

Last but not least, as he continues his Bite This! Block Party tour across North America, Jauz is bringing out a special guest to all of his shows. He’ll be bringing the Beneath The Waves team on the main stage to educate fans about the importance of protecting our oceans. This tour in and of itself shows how far he’s come as an artist and how his DJ name and brand have led to this amazing career.

My name is Sebastian Medina and I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Ever since I could remember, I have always been in love with dance music. I appreciate all genres and sub-genres but I definitely gravitate towards house and techno. Being from LA I was blessed with an amazing nightlife full of different artists coming in and out of town throughout the years. Some of my favorite artists include Seth Troxler, Michael Bibi, Mr.Carmack, PAWSA, and Folamour.
