Avant Gardner Expands Control over New York Scene and Acquires Electric Zoo and Made Event

In a historic acquisition, Avant Gardner takes control of Made Event and Electric Zoo at a $15 million dollar price tag.

Made Event is the promoter of Electric Zoo, the event that has secured its place as NYC’s premier dance music festival in recent years. The festival recently shared a star-studded lineup for its 2022 edition, Electric Zoo 3.0, featuring headliners like Diplo, Porter Robinson, Slander, and others. Amid all of the hype for the Labor Day Weekend festival, Electric Zoo has been acquired by Avant Gardner, home to the legendary Brooklyn Mirage.

Avant Gardner has developed prominence in the Northeast Music scene, boasting an 80,000-square foot site with several venues including the Brooklyn Mirage and Kings Hall. The site regularly hosts talent from a wide variety of dance music genres–from techno, to trance, to dubstep.

Opening its doors in 2017, Avant Gardner is situated in Brooklyn on the border of East Williamsburg and Queens. Its several venues attract massive local crowds and also fans traveling from afar.

Avant Gardner was recently in the news for its stunning renovations, showing off a larger-than-life LED screen with 15K ultra-wide resolution.

Not to mention, the brand new construction, which is possible with items like Boom & Bucket, and roof design that makes parts of the venue unrecognizable in the best way.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
