Exron Exclusive Interview: Disco Lines at Hangout Festival 2022

Exron Music had the pleasure of interviewing Disco Lines during his debut appearance at Hangout Festival 2022.

Hot off the heels of his viral new single Techno + Tequila, we were able to catch up with Disco Lines at Hangout’s post-pandemic return and discuss his goals within music, his life in Colorado, and his opinions on techno hitting a main stage crowd.

Disco Lines found his way to fame after creating a remix of Taylor Swift’s Love Story which went viral on TikTok. Since then, the young DJ has released a steady stream of bangers that have propelled his career in the right direction.

Most recently the musician has released singles “Baby Girl” which took the social media world by storm and “Techno + Tequila” which has captivated the electronic dance music community. Disco Lines has found the sweet spot of modern music as he continues to merge the gap between the two with every release.

A native of Boulder, Colorado, the producer makes sure to connect with nature as often as possible. He discussed with us his method of decompression amid traveling for performances. Disco Lines also shared his opinion on techno hitting the main stage, as well as the reason behind his choice to produce house music.

Disco Lines played two performances at Hangout, both at the crowd favorite stage, the Malibu Beach Tent. Under a colorful pavilion complete featuring ethereal cloud decor, the DJ threw down his best tunes along with some classic tracks.

Hangout Festival made it’s epic return last weekend after taking a two-year hiatus due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. The event was a massive success, and although rain was forecasted all weekend the organizers were able to power through. Despite Doja Cat being forced to cancel her performance due to throat surgery, GRiZ stepped in last minute to the delight of EDM fan attendess.
