Jauz Denies Accusations of Drug Use During Recent Set After Viral TikTok

Jauz defends his character after a fan posted a video insinuating that he was using drugs during his show in San Diego

Just last week, legendary DJ and producer Jauz made a special performance at NOVA SD for the venue’s opening night. A fan took a video of the artist captioned “Jauz was going through it last night” and shared it to Tik Tok. Not long after, several fans alluded to the possibility of the DJ using drugs. One comment reads, “He looks like he’s literally rolling…lmao.”

The artist quickly retorted commenting, “Just because I have my hand up and my eyes closed doesn’t mean I’m on drugs – I was just genuinely enjoying the music ? thanks for the concern though.” He even shared a similar post on Twitter, again denying the absurd claim.

With as much judgment that flooded the comments on Tik Tok came just as much support. One comment reads, “My mans is just really feeling the music, super normal lol.” Another fan says, “Manz is just enjoying the music sheesh ?.”

Jauz is currently embarking on a string of West Coast shows amid his Off The Deep End tour, not to be confused with his 2017 ‘Off The Deep End’ EP and subsequent tour. This new rendition consists of glorious house music all night long. The artist has made it clear that the basis of these shows is to “focus on the houser, deeper, techier side of the Jauz project.”

Next up for Jauz are stops in Seattle, Portland, and Costa Mesa. He’s also gearing up for massive festival performances, with Beyond Wonderland SoCal and Ultra Miami at the end of March, and Tomorrowland in July.

Jauz recently released a new tune, “Bring Et” on Bite This! The single is part of his forthcoming ‘OTDE’ EP, which explores house music influences.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
