KASKADE DROPS COSMIC NEW TUNE “CLOSER” FOR ROCKET LEAGUE – [LISTEN]

World-renowned DJ and producer Kaskade reveals “Closer,” the dark and alluring third single from his forthcoming Monstercat EP

“Closer” is a melodic house tune that drives feelings of inspiration as it progresses through a dreamlike soundscape. Always finding a way to harness intense energy within his music, Kaskade has created a dance-infused hit that will undoubtedly keep crowds moving.

This dynamic track leads in with a funky house beat that culminates into an awe-inspiring build up, fueled by hypnotic vocals. “Closer” then metamorphoses into a tantalizing drop that transports listeners beyond their senses. It effortlessly captures Kaskade’s flawless ability to tap into his listener’s emotions.

Along with his previous releases, “Flip Reset” and “Solid Ground” also on Monstercat, this new track marks the artist’s exciting partnership with the arcade-style vehicular soccer game Rocket League. “Closer” acts as a commemorative launch, as Rocket League takes over Fortnite’s Radio Yonder station, in which Kaskade will be the host.

Kaskade offers some insight into his new creation, “Working on “Closer” felt like coming home for me. There’s a lot to be said for the comfort of warm chords, vibey vocals and build-ups that bring us all back to our love of bass. I want ‘Closer’ to be equally at home on the dance floor, the living room or in your headphones on repeat.”

Toward the end of 2020, the Grammy-nominated producer made multiple stops throughout California on his Road Trip drive-in tour. These safe, socially distanced events allowed the artist to connect with fans through music even during these dire times of uncertainty. For now, fans can jam out to “Closer” while looking forward to his upcoming debut EP on Monstercat.
