Mr. Carmack Samples His Dog’s Bark For NYC Tour Stop

Mr. Carmack hosted quite the soiree yesterday at Music Hall of Williamsburg, one of the stops on his current ‘Immersion Tour’. The musical mastermind is known mainly for his unmatched production talent, and is now taking the road to share his creations with fans across the states this December. The New York performance was a special one, appropriating the perfect storm of live production and vocals with DJ set mixing.

The night began with Mr. Carmack on vocals leading a 17-piece band of musicians from LA, New York and Chicago. The result was a groovy and smooth display of symphonious flair that had the entire crowd swinging and swaying. Being the first time Exron Music had experienced a live Carmack show, we were wildly impressed to find that his voice could easily be referred to as the love child of John Legend and The Weeknd. Smooth, sultry and fabulously gratifying, it was a pleasure to experience a master craftsman at work.

Following the live performance, DJ Mike Penthouse took to the stage while Mr. Carmack prepared for his second wave: a DJ set to wow fans with mixing technique. The set was some good old fun, with relics from Hip Hop legends and modern bass masterfully combined to create an infectiously dance-worthy evening. Arguably the best moment of the night was when Carmack played an original track created with samples from his dog’s bark then mixing seamlessly into “How Low Can You Go”. See below:

Mr. Carmack continues his tour tonight at The Fillmore Philadelphia and further on until the end of the month. Get tickets here!
